Kate Loxton

Publicity & Partnerships Manager

Prior to joining Becker Film Group as National Publicity and Partnerships Manager in 2014, Kate had a long standing relationship with the company. During her time working for a Sydney based PR agency, Kate was appointed as their Senior Communications Manager.

Kate is responsible for creating and implementing all PR strategies for theatrical and home entertainment releases in Australia and overseeing PR in New Zealand. Recent campaigns include: BOYCHOIR starring Academy Award® Winner Dustin Hoffman and Kathy Bates and 5 FLIGHTS UP with Academy Award® Winner Morgan Freeman and Diane Keaton.

Kate is an 8-year veteran of the PR industry with a strong consumer background where she specialised in entertainment PR. It was during this period, working in the high-pressure agency environment, that she found her love of film PR. Since then she has also recognised the importance of brand alignments, partnerships and targeted grassroots outreach for film campaigns and has fully embraced this aspect of taking a film to market.

Cinema has always held a special place in Kate's heart. In fact, she always wanted to be an actor but once she realised she couldn't act, not even a little bit, she decided behind-the-scenes was more her bag.

She has previously worked for Paramount Home Entertainment, Pinnacle Films and Transmission Films.
